ARCHAEOLOGICAL REMAINS
The area preserves archaeological remains of great interest:
- The rock art sites of Cabeciña, in Mougás
- Pedra do Cazador, in Pedornes, with hunting scenes
- Pedra Escrita, in Burgueira, with the carving of a huge labyrinth 110 cm in diameter
- Auga dos Cebros, en Pedornes, donde se representa una embarcación con su mástil y velamen
A RAPA DAS BESTAS
In Oia, the tradition of A Rapa das Bestas remains alive. The existence of horses is already documented in some petroglyphs of the region, but it was the monks of the monastery who promoted the breeding of free-range animals.
